"You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" by Mishalinda.
Song......Betterman*(1) (by Pearl Jam, from Vitalogy)
Poem..... Betterman*(2) (by Pearl Jam, from Vitalogy)
Picture... You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown *(3) (by Mishalinda)
Reading..Portable Atheist (by Christopher Hitchens).
*1 No one sings morose tunes better than Eddie Vedder. In I Am Sam, where the soundtrack are all of The Beatles', Vedder sang You've Got To Hide Your Love Away. Music director Terry Wilson remembered that decision as one of her best.
*2 My favorite part:
.....Memories back when she was bold and strong
.....And waiting for the world to come along...
.....Swears she knew it, now she swears he's gone
*3 This is a production poster for a play. Pictures of the real-life characters are here. All you Charlie Brown's fans may want to see it (I am no familiar with the comic strip. Snoopy and the gang are just too phlegmatic for me to enjoy).
As for 'speak a few reasonable words':
I met a friend whom the last time I saw was 14 years ago. We were brother-tight. Now I don't understand anything he says. I guess people aren't kidding when they say "People change."
